The 4 Best wifi routers in the market

Whether you are looking to stream Netflix all day long or are looking to upgrade your wifi router to stay connected in every corner of your home, these are for you.

Back in the days when the Apple stores or even their online presence ( sold their private label Wi-Fi router (known as the Airport Extreme which is still available on, one who has used this in the past would understand the true power of a Wi-Fi router that could surprisingly cater to a two-story 2500 square feet home and yet maintain those 100 Mbps speeds to stream your favorite movies along with having every person in your household be connected to the internet without losing a megabyte in their internet speed. If you were one of those to own and use an Airport Extreme, you would know how deeply attached one can be to their Wi-Fi connectivity.

Now, if you need a change or are looking for something similar that can match up to these expectations, we have a list of our top 4 picks that can cater to even higher speeds and can have more than 15 devices connected to it simultaneously. More so, these have features like creating a "guest only" connection point and creating a three-tiered approach wherein devices that require lesser speeds can be connected to particular points to help allocate the overall speeds more efficiently.

Netgear Nighthawk X6 AC3200 Tri-Band Wifi Router (R8000)

This is the best router out there for the price tag and quality. At $249.99 available at, this is a steal. When the pandemic hit and we needed a router to cater to the surge in work from home and streaming shows, we purchased this and tested it out. To provide some more context, we currently have Comcast as our internet service provider and we are promised roughly 300 Mbps in download speeds along with 10-15 Mbps in upload speeds. Not a day has passed by when we haven't done run a speed test and WOW we were and are still amazed. This router has been consistent and at times we get 50 Mbps more than what we are promised (Now that's what I call under promise and over deliver).

Netgear Nighthawk X6S AC4000 Tri-Band Wifi Router (R8000P)

This we believe is the upgraded version of the Netgear Nighthawk AC3200. We tested this and this one works seamlessly as well but we didn't feel the need to shell a couple of extra bucks on this router as the AC3200 already over-delivered in performance. However, this would be our recommended go-to if the AC3200 were out of stock. At speeds of 4000 Mbps, this one blows all expectations and more so, you can have 40+ devices connected to this at the same time and you will be just fine. Moving into a bigger home? Worry not as this will cater to up to 3500 square feet of coverage.

Netgear Orbi High-Performance AC3000 Tri-band Wi-Fi Router

What can we say - Netgear knows how to lure you to buy all their products (They do have the best-in-class products especially in the Wi-Fi connectivity area). Now this one is for you if you are planning to move to a 4000+ square feet home and want every inch of your home to be connected to the internet. At an average out-of-the-door retail price of $329.99, you will never lose an inch of a speed with the combined 3 Gbps in speeds you will get through this router. We did think this was slightly pricier as compared to similar routers out there - but as they say - price is what you pay and quality is what you get.

Google Nest Wi-Fi Router and Point (2 Pack)

We saved the thunder and thrills for the last but this one does the cake for being compact and sleek! At an average price point of $199, this elegant-looking set of routers takes the lead both in pricing and in the way it helps keep all your devices connected at home. What's more - the point has a built-in speaker with the Google Assistant so if you are ever looking to joke around by pausing someone's Wi-Fi at home or are looking to turn on your morning jam to beat those Monday morning blues, this will be your best friend.
