So you want to start drinking red wine but you don't know where to begin. If you're a beginner, I'll tell you right now that dry red wines are not what you should be starting with (unless you love the taste of grapefruit).

Here's our advice: start with a nice medium-bodied Pinot Noir, Merlot, or even a Red Blend. These three types of wine are great for beginners because they're not too fruity or sweet. Also, it will allow you to learn about the different characteristics of red wine.

If you're just getting into wine, here is a list of some great wines that we recommend for those just beginning to explore the world of red wines.
