So you went to a house party or a bar and someone spilled wine or food on your white shoes. If not this, someone stamped on your shoes that caused a stain. Don’t worry about those dark stains or spills that are on your white shoes. Whether it is a pair of Gucci or Aldo, follow these steps to get your white shoes shelf ready in no time! This hack we have figured out will turn your worn shoes into a pair of brand new ones.

Be sure to perform this regime at least once a month. If you want to maintain the lifespan of your shoes, we recommend performing this regime after every wear so that the stains come out easily. These steps will take less than 5 minutes and will cost you less than $2 a month (averaged out based on the number of uses). More so, this will save you the trip of dropping your shoes at a leather shoe cleaner that may charge you close to $15.

Things you will need

A smooth scrubber - We don't recommend going for anything but this Mr. Clean Magic Eraser

Leather cleaning solution - Any leather cleaner will work but we suggest using this Apple Brand Leather Cleaner & Conditioner

Microfiber or smooth cloth - There are plenty available out there and you may even find one at home but try to stick to a A microfiber cloth

Steps

1. Take one of the Mr. Clean scrubbers and cut out a tiny piece as shown in the illustration. Wet the piece slightly but make sure to drain out any excess water from it.

2. Pour a few drops of the leather cleaner on one of your shoes on the leather areas. If possible, try to avoid contact with the cloth areas.

3. Take the tiny damp piece of the Mr. Clean Eraser and start rubbing it on the leather areas of the shoes. Continue rubbing in circular motions till it starts to create a foam-like texture. At this point, the eraser and the leather cleaning solution are working hand in hand to remove all the stains.

4. Continue doing so until you are satisfied with how your shoe looks.

5. Take the microfiber cloth, wet it slightly, and wipe out all the foam and solution from the shoe.

6. Once your shoe is dry, apply a small amount of leather conditioner and gently rub in circular motions with your fingertips. Avoid contact with the cloth areas.

7. Perform the above steps on the other shoe. Let your shoes dry for twenty minutes before you stow away.

8. We recommend storing your shoes in the shoe bags provided by the manufacturer. If you were not provided with shoe bags, any cloth bag will work. Make sure to fill your shoes with some paper to keep the posture intact and the leather crisp which will avoid further wrinkling.
