Day 1 - Check in to Hotel
We recommend taking an early flight from your port of departure that gets you to Aruba before noon. Upon arriving, there are plenty of taxis available outside the airport that will take you to your hotel. We recommend staying at the Renaissance which is by Marriott. The taxis cost approximately $35 to $45 from the airport to the hotel. Upon checking into the hotel, you can ask the concierge how to get to the flamingo island as this is the place you should spend time at if you are a beach person. The perks of living at the Renaissance hotel is that the free boat ride will take you to Flamingo Island and bring you back as well. The boat ride is almost every fifteen minutes. Entry into the island is free as well. A variety of drinks and food is available there and everything is very reasonably priced.
Day 2 - Aruba Flamingo Beach
You may be on a vacation and tempted to hit the snooze button a few times but all you have to do is wake up, get into your bathing suit, put on a cover-up or a t-shirt, and grab some breakfast. After breakfast, we suggest walking up to the speed boat section that will take you to Flamingo Island. Spend the day there on the beach and make your friends jealous of those tan lines. You can either relax under the palm trees or if you are a water person, grab a water mat.
If you haven’t yet realized, the orange and white flamingos will be there to welcome you. Be generous and feed them some bird food. Don’t forget to carry some quarters as the bird food dispenser only accepts coins. Please be kind to them as they are timid.
Day 3 - Iguana Beach
Iguana beach is the beach that is to the left of Flamingo beach. This beach is bigger but there are no flamingos here. However, it is a very nice spot if you want to relax and even grab some food at the beach restaurant.
Day 4 - Rent a car and explore
Do not miss out on this! We suggest renting a car for a day and exploring Aruba. A few spots that you shouldn’t miss: Natural Pool, Playa Linda Beach, ATV Tour
Our favorite was the Natural Pool. It was something different and unique! Be sure to carry your swim gear there. The ATV tour is really fun too! After a tiresome day, visit Playa Linda Beach (be sure to get here just around 4 pm and nothing late) and grab some fruits bowls from Eduardo's Beach Shack.
